Self-tapping screws are designed to cut their own thread as they are screwed, featuring a pointed sharp end (referred to as A, AB or C type) or also a blunt end (referred to as B or F Type) with tapered end for application into pre-drilled pilot holes.

Used in many industries, they are used with a variety of materials, including metals, plastic, wood and even masonry though different types are specialized for each. Masons stock them in a variety of heads, CSK slotted, CSK Pozi, Pan Pozi, Pozi flange, pan slotted, and hex. Materials and Finishes.
